Trying to get Jaspersoft Studio 2.0.0 to connect to a JasperReports Server repository services, but am getting the following error (see end of message).

This is against version 4.2.1 JasperReports Server. I can connect to this using iReport, and am using the same connection parameters as in iReport, so I know they are correct.

no, I tested right now connection from JSS to:

4.1.0, 4.2.1, 4.5, 5.0, 5.01  local and remote

JSS connects, I can browse the repository run report units, etc.

it's possible to try connection to your server, or maybe you can give us more information about this connection, maybe you have some proxy settings ...

The answer, or at least a way around it, is mentioned in my comment above.

I downloaded Eclipse and then added the Jaspersoft Studio plug-in and this resolved the connection matter.

But I was then receiving exceptions when opening up reports. In the end I just left it and went back to iReport.

I've seen several threads in the forum where you complain about connection problems between jasperstudio and JasperServer.
I can not connect from jasperstudio.5.2.0CE to jasperserver.5.2.0CE
all other thred in the forums contain only requests is all unanswered.
If no one takes the trouble to answer, I think it wanted to entice you to switch to the paid version?

I apologize for my imperfect English.
Sincerely
