jgh
I don't see that the source code in the list of files. Was it published?
tkavanagh
We put a README-build-source-code.txt into the set of files the describes getting the source. There is also a WIKI page entry on the JasperForge/JasperServer that describes how to get the source code. The source code is publicly available via anonsvn to the online subversion repository. The source code used to release JS CE 3.7.1 is the tagged code: jasperserver/tags/js-3.7.1So, the checkout command is the following: svn checkout --username anonsvn --password anonsvn http://jasperforge.org/svn/repos/jasperserver/tags/js-3.7.1 jasperserverThe wiki page is located here: http://jasperforge.org/plugins/mwiki/index.php/Jasperserver/BuildingSourceCodeLet me know if this works for you. And whether this is a pain vs downloading a zip file!Thanks,-Tony
jgh
I did look at downloading via subversion, but it would be much more simple to support FreeBSD through the ports system if downloading a zip would still be a supported option. Anotherwards, to be blunt, it is a pain.I have a working port that depends on the '.zip' of the source code, and would appreciate if this could still be made available to the community. The only version I am able to cleanly build against is 3.5.0, due to it fully being released as a .zip, and it would be a shame if that is where the support for FreeBSD would end. It really is nice, and I wish that this would still be supported. I was actually able to use the port I created to get JasperServer up and running with no additional configuration. I would love to share this with the FreeBSD and JasperServer community. Thanks,Jason
tkavanagh
Nice work on supporting the FreeBSD community! ;-)I can make a source zip and get it posted early next week. In the meantime, you might give a try to 3.7.0. There is a source zip for the 3.7.0 release. But it sounds like you might be having trouble building it? Actually, if you try the 3.7.0 src zip and you have trouble, let's start a new thread to discuss any issues/errors.Thanks, -Tony
planetzone
Were these patches also included in the current release?jasperforge.org/plugins/mwiki/index.php/Jasperserverpatches/JasperServer_3.7.0_Patches_and_ExtensionsEspecially the patch for the OLAP reports is important for my system.
