ThTh
[Note: message previously posted on the former forum ay SF.net] iReport launches the splash screen, and hangs at "Loading available font family names". With a verbose output, it stops at: [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.props.BasicDockingPortPropertySet from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.props.ScopedDockingPortPropertySet from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.props.RootDockingPortPropertySet from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.defaults.DefaultRegionChecker from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.dockbar.event.DockablePropertyChangeHandler from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.defaults.DockablePropertyChangeHandler from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.util.DockingUtility from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.util.SwingUtility from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.plaf.theme.ButtonUI$ToggleListener from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.view.model.ViewButtonModel from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded it.businesslogic.ireport.gui.MainFrame$228 from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/iReport.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.view.actions.DefaultPinAction$PinButtonModel from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded javax.swing.JApplet from /usr/local/jdk1.5.0/jre/lib/rt.jar] [Loaded javax.swing.JWindow from /usr/local/jdk1.5.0/jre/lib/rt.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.event.hierarchy.RootDockingPortInfo from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.defaults.DefaultDockingStrategy$DockingResults from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.docking.floating.frames.DockingFrame from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.perspective.DockingStateListener$1 from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] [Loaded org.flexdock.util.SwingUtility$2 from file:/usr/local/share/java/classes/flexdock-0.4.1.jar] I have tried to increase -Xms and -Xmx, but that does not help. Giulio Toffoli
I'm investigation on this. I'll let you know. Are you able to recompile iReport (just in case, I don't have a FreeBSD installation to test iReport) Giulio

Are you able to recompile iReport (just in case, I don't have a FreeBSD installation to test iReport)Giulio I hope so - but I have never tried: all previous versions have been working without problem, directly from the binary tarball. Giulio Toffoli
In your log... it looks like iReport is loading jars from: /usr/local/share/java/classes/ (iReport.jar Included!!!) Your verbose log should be not present in the last iReport version. Can you check carrefully the CLASSPATH used when iReport starts? (put echo $CLASSPATH in your startup.sh before the java command). Giulio Toffoli
Or maybe you have set a custom classpath that includes a lot of things. Try to polish it a bit, and try to start iReport again. How did you installed iReport? Giulio
ThTh
Hello, This is normal, I always put the jar files under /usr/local/share/java/classes/and set the class path accordingly. All classes are found. Regards,-- Th. Thomas.
