Jaspersoft iReport Designer no longer opens after Mac Os upgrade

I recently updated my MacBook Pro to MacOS Sierra version 10.12 beta.  After doing so, Jaspersoft iReport Designer no longer opens.  No erorrs, nothing....

Any ideas or suggestions to get it working agina (short of restoring a pre-update backup)?
