tsukebumi
I updated the oracle virtual machine from 1.6 to 1.7 and my reports are turning with a different font. Wherean I look to find the culprit?I am clue-less right now.
kcollins
Hello, If your font is not available to the JVM, Jasperreports Server will try to substitute it for another font. Is it possible that you had the font installed in your 1.6 JVM, but doesn't exist in the 1.7 JVM? There should be a fonts folder in your JVM directory which should be under jrelibfonts. Do you have fonts there in 1.6 that don't exist in 1.7? Note that a better way to add fonts may be to use a font extension. See here http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/ireport-ultimate-guide. Look at section 8.3 on page 128. This will show you how to create a font extension. After this is created, you can add it to a report as a resource so that it will be included if you export the report and migrate it in the future. Note these font extension jars can also be placed in the applications classpath. Hope this helps. -Kris
