get the top 10 rows in a crosstab

Hello and Happy New Year ,

I have a problem in jasperserver and if somone could provide a solution it would be great. It is a basic issue which i would have thought would be easy to resolve but...

I need to display the top 10 results in a corsstab and chart.

The data is filtered therefore i can not limit my results in the sql query or in the domain.

my query fetching the data looks something like the following :

select id, startdate, value from myTable

I would like to be able to filter and also sort desc.

Please note i am new to jasperserver.
