mdahlman
I gave a webinar called "Designing and Implementing Dashboards and Mashboards". It uses materials that I adapted from a session that Guillaume Autier gave at JasperWorld. The session was very well received at JasperWorld, and lots of folks have requested the materials. We're happy to post the materials here for people to re-create the samples on their own systems. The first sample shows a mashup using Google Maps to display store locations. A user can click a store to see a summary of activity at that store. The second sample shows a dashboard with 6 component reports that allow a user to click on one report and update the others. This sort of cross-report interactivity isn't possible with a default JasperReports Server installation, but it requires only a small addition to the standard javascript files.Of course these proof of concept samples are not supported by Jaspersoft Technical Support. Stuff in them is hard-coded. Other stuff is broken. But they are nonetheless cool examples which should inspire new ways of using Jaspersoft dashboards. Questions and comments are very welcome here on the forums. (And improvements too!)They have been tested only with JasperReports Server Enterprise 4.0. They will require modifications to work with v3.7 or earlier.Regards, Matt Dahlman JaspersoftPost Edited by mdahlman at 07/12/2011 16:
