jahp00
Does anybody has installed jasperserver 3.5.1 on opensuse 11.1 using the existing version of tomcat6, When I install jasperserver using the linux installer, I use the existing version located in /usr/share/tomcat6, but I get the error Error copying file from /opt/jasperserver-3.5.0/scripts/drivers/mysql-connector-java-5.1.5.jar to /usr/share/tomcat6/common/lib :Destination not writable Abort, Retry, Ignore ? [A/r/i] Any idea to set permissions or something, Thanks
swood
You have to set the permissions on the directories of your Tomcat installation, or do the install as root. ShermanJaspersoft
sorgfelt
Permissions is not the problem. I did the install from root. Tomcat 6 does not have a common/lib directory - a change from Tomcat 5. The JasperServer professional doc says that the mysql-connector jar would be installed in the Tomcat 6 lib directory. But the community edition apparently does not know about this issue. Is there a fix or workaround?
swood
The 3.5 installer does not work with Tomcat 6, only 5.5. The alternaitve is a manual WAR install. ShermanJaspersoft
