Hi,

I have just install jasper to evaluate it in front of my Microsoft SSAS 2005 OLAP server.

But I don't know how to setup a connection to it.

Where can I found a step by step setup guide?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry to say this,

but the documentation doesn't contains any specific section to access SSAS 2005 or AS2000.

so I try a connection like:

Data source: Provider=MSOLAP;DataSource=<Server>;

URI: http://server/mla/msmdpump.dll

doesn't works

Data source: Provider=MSOLAP;Data Source=<Server>;

URI: http://server/mla/msmdpump.dll

doesn't works

Data source: Provider=MSOLAP;Data Source=Foodmart;

URI: http://server/mla/msmdpump.dll

doesn't works

This error appears when I try to execute a view against my cube:

com.sun.xml.internal.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: Message send failed

Hmmm... I thought that it did, and I look in the documentation and there is no specific reference. The underlying JPivot UI does work with SSAS 2000 and 2005 - I have done this in the past.

We will look into this.

I don't have SSAS 2005 available right now to test this. When you say it doesn't work, can you not set it up in the repository, or you cannot connect?

I can create a new OLA PClient connection in the repository

Then I create a new analysis view with a working MDX statement.

I'm selecting the new connection.

Then I try to open the new analysis and the error is raised.

See the attached file for a complete trace of the error.
