Hi,

 

while working with the latest release I wondered if something was changed to the "standard font and it's style" attributes... the report I wanted to changed was designed with iReport 0.2.3 and now I'm using 0.3.1 and when I place a new field to any band "Arial 10" is taken and all other fields are "Sans Serif 12"... so I guess it was changed by Guilo, isn't it???.

It doesn't bother me much, but it would be nice if there would be a new feature in the iReport option-pane like "Standard font" and "Standard font-Style" (Size/bold/italic/...) where new elemets got their font and it's style.

 

Or a "clone style" button where you can select one item and if you push that "clone style" button the specific settings are copied and all new created items get that style.

And another new "apply style" button can apply the previously copied style to all currently selected items. So changes for multiple items would be done within two mouseclicks.

 

what do you think about it?

Very interesting. Could be somthing like copy style and paste style in Photoshop.

Yes, something like the photoshop feature for the layers.

 

I know that feature from an old 16bit database that has also a builtin reportdesigner that has these two buttons.

 

It also has a small panel with buttons for the formating actions:

 

align left edges,

align horizonal centers,

center horizontally in window,

space equally horizontally,

align right edges,

align tops,

align vertical centers,

center vertically in window,

space equally vertically,

align bottoms

 

that would also be a great help while designing complex reports, because you needn't go through the different menus and submenus to align multiple items.

 

Perhaps you have a little bit time at bad wheater (or if Italy get kicked out in Protugal, no just a joke! :-))

It doesn't look better for us... we have to win against Czech Republic or play standoff and hope that Latvia and Netherlands also play standoff.

 

But the hope dies last. :-)

Hi giulio,

 

I know that the align functions are already implemented (just have other names) - I just would be glad if that functions could get call about a small toolwindow within IReport where just for each function a small button in the given order (e.g two rows from left to right) has to get clicked. (because the Menu-way is quite exhausting if you have about 50 textfields and some lines and rectangles and you want to create a clean and exactly aligned design)

Ups, I watched the games yesterday.. it was very tight... and if Sweden wouldn't have shot the draw ....!?!?!?

So the referee wasn't also the best one... but at least it was not his blame because of the last swedish goal.

 

But what I admire is, that your guys were fighting till the last second... a german player won't do so....

 

let's see today what happens to us.

Yes Giulio, that's the only good point concerning that topic! :-)

 

It was typically german soccer... first half, more "stand-soccer" and with time running away in second half, we used the jimmy - but so many chances and no goal... so we'll see 2006 if they'll hit the empty goal from penalty-spot.
