Problem in displaying Chinese character

I have typed some static Chinese text and then compiled. But nothing can be seen in the PDF. Can anyone help me?

I can view the static Chinese text. BTW, the report variables become symbol...

Actually, I am wondering if I need to set the property of Chinese charset in datasource setting?

(but there is no way for me to set...)

in your textfield expression; write like the following:

new String(${field}.getBytes("iso-8859-1"),"gb2312")

and set your contentType="text/html charset=gb2312"
