What I'm wondering about is the quality of the image the is displayed in both the HTML and PDF. I've used a matching GIF image (height & width) and an oversized 300 DPI JPG, both look okay when viewed with an mage viewer. As soon as they are part of the report, they appear ragged; as if the were of low resolution and scaled up...
