Hi,

 

The answer is no, you cannot.

 

JasperReport represents the read-only, compiled

report design, ready to be used to generate the

report.

 

JasperDesign is the object that serves to create

report templates.

The JasperReport object is obtained by compiling

a JasperDesign object. The reverse process is not

possible.

Hi,

 

Use the dori.jasper.engine.xml.JRXmlWriter class

for storing a JasperDesign object in XML format.

 

The dori.jasper.engine.JasperCompileManager

allows you to compile a JasperDesign object to

a JasperReport object.

 

The "hyperlink" sample provided with the project

is a good example for both tasks.
