Why am I getting an ODBC error in Excel?

I'm getting the following error in Excel when I use a SQL statement in Excel to retrieve data from my LIVE database using an ODBC connection: "ODBC: SUCCESS_WITH_INFO [01003] [iBM][CLI Driver][DB2/AIX64] SQLSTATE 01003: Null values were eliminated from the argument of a column function." I looked up the error at IBM's support page, (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/92159), and it's occurring because one of the column functions in my SQL statement contains a row with NULLs. I tried modifying the file db2cli.ini file that's referenced in the solution based on the instructions to resolve the error, but had not success. If anyone has dealt with this error before and was able to resolve; I'd greatly appreciate your help.
