george.stepanovich
My organization for years has used JasperReports 5.5 with no license. the original person that set up all the reports has left the org and now trying to recreate all the reports out of the software by manually building the reports. Does JasperReports have any way to display the database queries used to buld the report? That would make it a lot easier for me to build the reports that i need to duplicate out of Jasper. bigalex
In order to edit queries in Jasper reports you need to install JasperSoft studio and then you will be able to transfer reports from the server ( repository explorer ) to JasperSoft on your computer (Project Explorer). Ankur Gupta
Hi George. The best way is to use the Jaspersoft Studio, but if the sole pupose is just to look at the SQL behind the reports, you can simply edit the JRXML in the Notepad or any text editor and simply look for the tag <queryString> you will find the query directly Hope that this helps. Thankyou, Ankur Gupta TIBCO Certified Jaspersoft
