Apologies ahead of time, very new to Jaspersoft Server and Jaspersoft reporting.  Basics have a good idea and handle on.

But, cannot figure out how to do the following.   Need to create 3 measures that have the count of certain ticket status

  • Bucket with count of tickets with Open Status
  • Bucket with count of tickets with Closed Status
  • Bucket with cound of tickets not in Open/Closed Status

I thought it was simple, probably is simple, but I cannot figure it out.

any help/hints appreciated, also links for additional training/youtube/etc

thanks and Cheers

Hi there,

Sounds like you need to create a variable, below is the link to the Wiki -

https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/variables

When you crate the variable you can have the option in the Calculation field to have count or sum etc.

So for example you can create a variable with the Expression -

Boolean.valueOf($F{your field goes here}.contains ("closed") ? 1 : 0

This will give your field a value of 1 if it contains closed. Its hard to give an indepth example with what information you have given but hopefully this can point you in the right direction.
