Reuse subdataset resultset

Hi, I have a subdataset with a specific query string. I am using that subdataset with different datasetRuns, so the resultset is always the same. I am assuming every time the datasetRun is executed, the query is executed against the database.

My question is, is that true? And in case it is, is there a way to reuse the same resultset so I don't have to run several datasetRuns against the database just to get the same result?
