Pie chart not rendering in browser, but shows up in PDF

I'm assisting a user with developing a report. The envirionment is:

Jaspersoft Studio Community 6.8.0

Jaspersoft Reports Server Community Edition, version 7.1.0

The user has developed a report with a pie chart on it. The behavior I'm seeing is

- When the report runs in Jaspersoft Studio, the pie chart displays

- When I run the report on the server and export it to PDF, the pie chart appears in the PDF

- But when I run the report in the browser, the chart does not appear.

I'm guessing that this is something trivial, but I did some initial searching and couldn't find any similar questions.

Does this issue sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks,

Tom

On the server, there is the jasperserver.log under WEB-INF/logs. Should check this to see what exceptions are being logged. Maybe its phantomjs that is required to be installed and configured on the server...this is a guess only. Refer to the Jaspersoft Admin guide for info on phantomjs

Have you tried changing the browser? I found that charts are failing to display using Chrome but work fine in Firefox. This is only a recent issue, so I still need to check to see if the user has recently updated Chrome (charts were working for this user previously on Chrome).

Is anyone else noticing issues with charts in various browsers?
