Java.Util.Collections Missing from Parameter Class Type drop-down

Hello

I am trying to create a single select parameter drop-down list (input box) where the values for the parameter drop down list are populated by values from a database field and/or query.  Every example I see for a tutorial on this subject, tells me to use the java.util.collection class for the paramter. When I try and select the java.util.collections class from the parameter advanced properties definition, it is not listed.

Do I need the java.util.collections class to make a parameter (input box) drop down list work or is it not required now?  If I need it, where do I get it and how to load it so that it appears in the parameter class selection.

update .......   I solved this. I didn't need the java.util.collection(s) to make this parameter work as a drop down list.
