Compiling Reports with JasperStudio 6.3.0 for JasperServer 4.5

Hi,

I am trying to create some reports for an old version of JasperServer 4.5
We have been successful in downloading JasperStudio Pro 6.3 and can connect and browse the server.

However when we upload the report to the server we obtain UUID errors.
​I have researched, and believe it is to do with compatability settings.

We have set Source Version to JasperReports 4.5

 

However when we click on "Manage JasperReports Versions" we can't access 4.5 compiler using "ADD from URL" it appears that the 4.5 compiler is no longer available

Clickin on ADD FROM PATH comes up with the below error.

Is anyone able to provide detailed steps to follow:

i.e.
​1) where to download the requried 4.5 files from
2) how to install on the client - we have windows 10

3) how to have Jaspersoft Studio find the 4.5 version in the below screens?

Hello,

the jasper compiler itself should not be the cause of the problem here since you are deploying the report JRXML to the server and server is doing compilation there. You are not compiling that report before deploying. What could be the issue here is that your repository connection uses the latest version of JRXML. Try to right click on the repository connection -> edit settings -> advanced and set the version there to 4.5.0. Another thing you could try is to set the whole workspace to 4.5.0 rather than just the project.

Additional compilers should be installable from the URL. When you hit the URL there is a dropdown that has the links for the compilers. But again, this doesn't look to be a compiler issue since the server is doing the compilation, it looks like JRXML version problem.

Hi Friendly - thanks for your help. Unfortunately still no success.

 

As per your suggestion, I have Right Click on the Repository Setting and amended connection setting to 4.5.0 - that did not work

So I have also amended the entire Workspace to 4.5.0 and that has not worked either.

 

Error message / Trace from when I run the report up on the server is below.
