Apply conditional style based on field value text = jasper studio

I'm trying to write a style conditional just an easy one to test some things. I want to be able to change the color of the text in a field that is rendered

when it matches a text string.

When 

$GroupField = "text"  apply style

 

I can't seem to get it to trigger. Any help would be appreciated.

Steps involve:

1) Right click on styles >> Add >> Style
2) give it a forecolor
3) right click on style >> Add Conditional Style >> give a condition like below;

   $P{GroupField}="text"

For the field you want to apply the style, click on the field and in the property select the style.

Note: This property would apply to complete string and not just one word of that field.
