  1. Do you wonder what happens to your scheduled reports? Were they successful? Did they fail? If they failed, why? If you are an admin user using the Enterprise Edition of Jaspersoft 8.1 upwards, you have access to this data. IntroductionIf you set this up, you will be able to view such information: Was the scheduled report successful, or did it fail? If it was successful, how long did it take to execute? If it failed, at which step did it fail? What was the Error Category and Error Message? The pre requisite to use this feature is to enable the audit database. There is no additional installation required. The data is pre packaged as Ad Hoc Views under Repository > Public > Completed Schedules. Ad Hoc Views use cached data for better performance, so the recommendation is to create a Dashboard to view real time data Data Set UpUnder Repository > Public > Completed Schedules, there will be four Ad Hoc Views and Domains. Using Domains is optional, you can use it to rename fields or created calculated fields. It is recommended to use Ad Hoc Views only. The Data is divided up into Level 1 and Level 2 for better understanding. Level 2 Data requires an Input Control value to be entered to proceed. The Schedule ID is the field that links Level 1 Data with Level 2 Data. How to View the Data - Dashboards The recommended way to view this data is to use Dashboards. Steps to create the Dashboard in this format: Create 2 Dashboards - one for Successful Scheduled Reports and one for Failed Scheduled ReportsAdd 3 Ad Hoc Views from Repository > Public > Completed Schedules as Dashlets.Successful Reports Ad Hoc View OR Failed Reports Ad Hoc View (Level 1)Output Formats Ad Hoc View (Level 2)Query Details Ad Hoc View (Level 2)Enable Hyperlinks for all Dashlets Map parameters of Level 1 and Level 2 Dashlets using the field Schedule ID as the common field.Save the DashboardThe Dashboard will now look like the image above. You should be able to view the following information:: Was the scheduled report successful or did it fail?If it was successful, how long did it take to execute? If it failed, at which step did it fail? What was the Error Category and Error Message? What was the query executed? In case of performance issues, which step took long? Which query was slow? What were the output formats of the schedule?
