  1. I am trying to connect Jaspersoft Studio 6.20.5 running on my Windows PC to JasperReports Server running on Windows Subsystem for Linux on the same computer. I can successfully connect to my server through my browser. I can even right-click on the server connection (that isn't working) in Jaspersoft Studio and click "Open in Browser", and that too, will open the same browser page. However, I can't actually connect to my server from Jaspersoft Studio. I've read through some of the questions others have had about connection issues and saw where selecting only the SOAP protocol solved similar problems for others, but that hasn't worked for me. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on and how to fix it? Here is the error message I am getting: ; nested exception is: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to localhost:8080 [localhost/127.0.0.1] failed: Connection refused: connect Beneath that, there is more detail, at java.base/java.net Socket(Unknown Source) at org.apache.http.conn.socket.PlainConnectionSocketFactory.connect(PlainConnectionSocketFactory.java:75) at org.apache.http.impl.con.DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.connect(DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.java:142) .. 30 more
