  1. Apparently I can't edit a comment to add details, so my apologies for two posts. @jphadtar @Mehak Rajkumar Unfortunately, the workaround doesn't solve my issue because the XML already contains the correct attribute: <textElement textAlignment="Right">
  2. Thanks @jphadtar, but I'm trying to understand why the software UI doesn't perform the function as expected. Seems like this is a known bug, @Mehak Rajkumar. Is it on the roadmap to be fixed? As for the workaround...when I started using Jaspersoft Studio earlier this year, I didn't come across any training resources about editing the XML directly. Did I overlook them? What's the best way to learn which tags correspond to the UI elements?
  3. In Studio, I've set some text fields to right align because they contain Big Decimal data, so I want the decimal places in 1,000.00 to line up with the decimal places in 100.00. It looks fine in designer view in Studio (v. 6.20.6), but when published to the server, all decimal values are left aligned like text. Note that I can't preview in Studio because the parameter type doesn't let me add a value locally. Obviously, my reports won't match the client specifications until I can figure this out. I've confirmed that each text field and static text header have Text Alignment = right align. I tested this by changing one to center align, and that also didn't work when published to the server.
  4. In the wizard, the screen shots show 5 fields selected and the text doesn't indicate to select all fields. Yet, two screen shots later, it shows more fields selected, without explaining how to get SHIPCOUNTRY in the Fields outline if someone followed the screen shots as examples and didn't select it in the wizard. The simplest way to resolve this is to add a comment: "Use >> to move all the fields to the right side of the screen. After selecting the fields click Next to proceed with the wizard."
