Hi, I did a diff between the file you attached here, and the LDAP Auth sample file for version 8.1, and looks like the sample file you started with is not the correct one. The correct sample file is the one with the word 'LDAP' in its name. Just take that one as a starting point, and give it a try. Be sure to remove the older file before placing the new one in there. I have attached a snapshot where the file on the left is the correct sample file to use and the one on the right is your file.

If the default_master file is already present and you are still receiving this error, please confirm if the buildomatic installer has RW permission for the file
