To add a table-based calculate field while creating a new domain, right-click the table and select Create Calculated field. This should show the fields that are in the table.

I am using JRS 8.0 as well. Using this wiki for 6.4 I get to a different dialog than what you have displayed. Not sure where you are creating the field. I am using Jaspersoft Studio Professional 7.9.0 - Visual Designer for JasperReports 6.16.0 and looking in the palette for the component. Also where can I find documentation on usage?
