  1. Hello, I know it is possible in Jasper Studio to render a PDF with editable fields based off of the following link: http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/sample.reference/forms/index.html My question is: Is it possible to create editable fields with scaling font size, like one can do in Adobe Acrobat? I know you can create multi-line editable text fields- this is NOT what I'm asking for. I want editable fields where the font scales to fit the dimensions of the field, like the "ScaleFont" property in Jasper. Thanks
  2. Can I not reply to an answer on this forum? In any case, what C-Box said makes sense, however, I have the requirement that this band must be displayed on every page at the bottom. Is that possible with a detail band or a group footer?
  3. Hello, everything was working perfectly with my Jasper Report. Today, when I launched Jasper Studio and tried to preview my report, i get the following exception: net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRRuntimeException: net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: java.io.IOException: Stream Closed
  4. Hi all, I'm having an issue where I have 10 dynamically (print when expression) displayed text fields in a footer. On each page between 0-4 of these textfields may be displayed. My issue is that beacuse my footer band is so large to accomidate these 10 text fields, the footer section is taking up half of the page even when there is no content displayed. Is there a way to have a band shrink to the size of its content or similar? Thanks
  5. Hi all, I have a question concerning best practices. In a complicated document (100+ pages) with many different detail bands, when would one decide to use a subreport versus a list with a subdataset? In my example, I have one JSON source with various nested nodes that will be referenced for various sections of the document. I am leaning more towards subreports, since it seems subdatasets make the jrxml much longer and harder to read, however, I can easily see the world where I have a huge number of subreports in my project. I am also concerned about which may be more performant. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
