What are the ways to compile subreports using maven or java?

I have tried the following to no avail: alexnederlof/Jasper-report-maven-plugin jasperreports-maven-plugin antrun plugin task detailed on this page https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/jasperreports-library-tutorial#Compiling_Report_Designs Is there a compile subreports option for JasperCompileManager? I am seeing this question in the forums a bit, but the links that reference the solution are dead links. Thanks in advance for the help.
