  1. Found a solution. It was right in front of my eyes and I couldn't sniff it out. Anyway, what I did was change the text field font to Arial and encoding type to Identity-H (Unicode with horizontal writing). That supports the Laos currency symbol.
  2. Hi, I have been searching for ways to display this Laos currency symbol(₭) in my jasper report and still couldn't land in with a possible solution. https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/displaying-east-asian-characters-report-pdf-output I had been following this article/guide and it gave me sound results with Laos letters but not the currency symbol. The currency symbol only displays as a square but nothing else. So I would like to know if there's an alternative for the matter. As in, change of the font jar, Jaspersoft version, iTextpdf version, any other related dependency, or tomcat server-related change. Following versions are there inside the project, TIBCO Jaspersoft® Studio 6.16.0 Arial Unicode.jar iTextpdf-5.5.13.jar junit-jupiter-api-5.7.0 jasperreports-6.16.0 and encoding type is following, PDF encoding - Identity-H (Unicode with horizontal writing)
