Parameters not showing up in Options in JasperServer

I never did find a solution, so quite frankly I gave up on JasperSoft. -
So I've made a report and I've attached a parameter from JasperStudio which is a simple textfield. I also attached an input control from JasperServer as I need a dropdown list filled by a query. Could someone tell me what I'm missing here? Got them set up like this: and the result is:
