Hi All, I am trying to run a main query in the Report Book function of Jasper studio. I have many reports in this report book. Some reports are passed fields as parameters from main query and others are not (these reports have independent queries and just uses same parameters passed from main). When the main query does not return data it will show the report book as blank. I still need it to run the reports in the book that have independent queries. Is there any way to get around report book showing up blank when its query returns no data? David

Hi all. I am working on a project converting Crystal reports to Jaspersoft. There is a component in Crystal where you can "Underlay Following Sections". I am wondering how I can best do this in Jaspersoft. I was thinking that I could do it with a subreport, however, I am trying to avoid this as it would require another SQL call and I have 3 subreports that need this functionality. I have attached some screenshots of what I am trying to achieve. The group header 2 in Crystal has the checked option, "Underlay Following Sections", which allows for the details band to stack inside the Group Header band. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers, David

Hi all. I have a report with 2 different group headers and I can't manage to get the page numbers working for them. I have the page number (x/y) sitting in the page footer (not group footer) of the report. I need them to display the page number x/y for each individual section. Each time it hits a new header, group 1 or group 2, it will reset the x/y page number. I have enabled the option to reset the page number for both group headers. I think the problem may lie at the evalution time of the text boxes containing the $V{PAGE_NUMBER} element? But I am not sure. The report runs such as there will be multiple group 2 headers for each group 1 header. Any help would be great. Cheers, David
