Hi Udit, Can you tell me how you created the external authentication? I am looking for a way to implement custom authentication but I can't understand the tutorials. Please help if you can.

Hi, I would like to know if I can manage the user authentication from my own user login table. I have no knowledge on how to manage a server. All the tutorials I could find shows how to create external authentication was based on Jasper Server Enterprise Edition. Due to my lack of knowledge on server I cannot seem to figure out how to make it work for Community Edition. Is it even possible to do so? If so, then can anyone please help me? P.S. I am working on JasperServer v7.1.1 and was trying to follow through the cookbook but it seems I can't find the file it wanted but rather a similar one and I tried editing it as much as I could and nothing happened so far

Hi, I want to implement shortcode in my report. For example, when a user inputs 'a' the field will show 'all'. Similarly, the field will show 'few' for 'f' and so on. Is there any way I can implement it without modifying my database? I want to accomplish this by using Jaspersoft Studio only.

I don't understand which date you are trying to change but if you are looking for making a change in your report, you do so by changing the date format by clicking on the Text Field where you put the date. If you want to change input date format, you should try using to_char and force it to a specific format which worked for me.

Hi, I have been introduced with Jasper for a few weeks now. Until now, all the reports I have created are static and rigid. I wanted to know if there's a way I can make interactive reports with Jasper. I want to use some basic functionalities like clicking image for full-width view, zoom, download etc. Is there any way I can do that?

Report design changed when uploaded to Jasperserver

The errors are fixed. The fields required a bit more space. I increased the size of the field and it was back to normal. Thanks for the answer though. -
Hi, I made a report in iReport designer 5.6.0. The report has 3 subreports. When I preview the report from iReport or Jaspersoft Studio 6.6.0, the report works fine but after I uploaded the report in Jasper Server, the report design was changed. Some of the borders were thicker than the others, the table row height was same for every row whereas it was set to change according to the data size of each row. This problem only appears in the report i uploaded in Jasper Server, I downloaded the file in my device and it works coorecty

Hi, I am completely new in using JasperReports. I've been trying to generate a report with multiple subreports. In my report, there are two subreports which are located on the Title band. On the second subreport, I have some data that are fetched from the query. I know that I can't use these values in the query of my main report. So, I created another subreport to generate the report I originally intended for main report. I want to use the values from the second subreport in the query of the third subreport. How can I do that? Also, when I created the third report in detail band, the report was shown 13 times(My report had 13 rows). How can I solve that problem? I am using Jaspersoft Studio 6.6.0 and my database is oracle database.
