The specific field is a java.lang.string. I tried differnt variantions of what you used, however without the result I wished for. The result in the column is now; ((java.lang.String)field_INSTRUCTION_NAME (instruction_name is the name of the field in this case) If you have any other idea, please let me know. Thanks

Hello, I am wondering if it's possible to let Jaspersoft replace words/fields from a query. Reason is I basicaly want to use this as an translation To give you an example, based on a fictive query which shows car parts Results 19inch wheels wheels 16inch headlight taillights So I want to 'translate' this result so that all results that have the word 'wheels' in it wille be showed as 'rims' And results with the word light need te be showed as 'lighting' This is just a random example to explain my needs, in this example we do not have the option to add extra data to the items, so I cannot add a category. I realy need a way to translate the results based on certain rules. See it as the results are in English, and I want Jaspersoft translate this by setting the rules in the report so I can effectively translate English into any other language without needing to alter the database etc. The number of translations I need are fairly limited, like 20 or so. update; somehow the query was no longer in de the dataset, so put it back in. Now the trend line works, but only shows the first measured value, and nog the trend of all values...

So your advice helped, creating a subdata set enabled me to just get one page. Sadly the trend line is now no long visible, however I will try and play with the Increment and Reset and see what happens

Yes I have tried all bands with the same results. so this does not seem to be the issue, however I might be missing something I am new to Jaspersoft so still learning

I tried to put in some screenshots however just pasted it, that does not seem to work. I'm not really sure if the screenshots help in any way. Do you need some JRXML from the 'source' to help me? I don't use that myself, so not really sure what part you would like to see. Maybe I do not understand the nature of your questoin, English is not my first language :)

Hello, I want to make a chart based on machine data; let's say Machine temperature. I know how to write the sql, all the data is there, it's a lot; 11.000 records of unique recorded data, but thats not the problem. Making the chart is also not the problem, the chart makes a nice trend line for all the data points. My problem is I have 5.500 pages due to 2 exact the same charts on every page, one for every record. How can I create a single chart in a report? Thanks, Dennis
