Connection refused when i try to test a hive connection.. Am i missing any configs?

Hi, I tried to create a hive connection on ireport designer 5.6.0 . When i enter the hive URL and hit test i get the connection refused error. url : jdbc:hive://xx.x.x.xxx:10000/alphaxxxxxx How can i fix this? Thank You,

I don't see a jdbc hive connection in the type dropdown while creating a datasource.. Should i add any jars? if so where should i add them?

HI All, I have jaspersoft Studio 6.3 . Im trying to get data in our hadoop/hive into a sample report. When i tried to create a hive connection , i didnt find the hive option in the type drop down. Am i missing any jars or any other settings? Thank You,
