When i click a report in jasper server it shows data,but when i download it as pdf ,pdf output is blank

I have two input parameters,i want report to get generated when both have values or when both are blank.But i want it to throw error whn only one of the input parameter has value and other is blank.Is that possible?

input param 1 is null ,input param 2 is not null :report should not generate. input param 1 is null ,input param 2 is null :report should generate. input param 1 is not null ,input param 2 is not null :report should generate.

I have start date and end date as input paramter,i want minimum difference between my two dates to be one month and maximum can be 24 months...otherwise it should throw error.
