I am trying to upgrade Java 7 to Java 8 and to study the feasibility and compatibility of JasperReports I cannot find any related information in the release note, some post suggests to use 6.1.0 with Java 8. Since the existing server currently uses very old versions (3.x/4.x) with itext-2.1.7.jar, I would like to know if this version is minimum requirement to run Java 8. Any help would be much appreciated.
