I am trying to copy a report using the rest apis but cannot seems to get it to work. I keep getting 404 errors. The documentation is pretty thin. I have read and written other resource files successfully, but need to copy a report now and I just can't seem to get it to work Any help would be appreciated

I figured this out myself. I had been modifying a data adapter xml file that was originally set up to use a URL instead of a file. I ceated a new data adapter and exported is, changed the file location to "repo:/ContentFiles/xml/myfile.xml" and everything worked correctly

I have a report that uses an XML file. I can create the report and data adapter easily enough in JasperStudio, and everyting works. I have issues when I deploy it to the JasperServer. I change my data adapter xml to point to the xml file in /Reports/patientData.xml, but when I run it tells me that it cannot find the input stream at /Reports/PatientData.xml. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Despite these instructions, I am unable to get it to work. JasperStudio will not recognize xpath2 as the query language so it fails when I try to uplod the report to the server. Guess I will need to find another solution

I have the same requirement but have found no way to do it. I tried several methods that use xpath2 and a parameter named XML_URL, but JapersoftStudio does not supportxpath2 anymore. I also tried a suggest where you create a parameter named net.sf.jasperreports.data.adapter and pass that in, but that didn't work either. If you find a solution, let me know and I will do likewise. I have a report that uses an datadapter with a url to a service that returns the XML. This service can accept multiple parameters, but when I change the endpoint to use more than one, I get an error that states: net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRRuntimeException: org.exolab.castor.xml.MarshalException: The reference to entity "parm" must end with the ';' delimiter.{File: [not available]; line: 2; column: 291} I assume it has to do with the & between the first and second parameters, but I don't know how to fix it (or if I can). I have tried escaping it to & and I have tried wrapping it in CDATA but neither works. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the quick response! I tried your suggestions but they did not seem to work. I also tried installing the Bitnami 5.6 stack locally but could not get it to run. I think my best bet is to create a new VM and install 6.01 on it manually. Hopefully that will resolve these issues.

I am having an issue with a report when I deploy it to JasperServer in an Azure Cloud. Here is the scenario: I create the report (uses an xml data adapter) which runs fine in JasperStudio. I then deploy it to a local JasperSoft JasperServer 6.1 where it runs fine as well. But when I deploy it to the Azure Cloud server, I get an exception (below). I have my local server and cloud server set up identically, but the cloud server is a Bitnami 5.6 JasperServer. Could I be running into compatibility issues, or is something else going on? I figured out how to set the cookie. I was adding Set-Cookie to the header, but it looks like I needed to add just Cookie. Once I did that it seemed to work

I am working on a POC calling the REST APIs using C#. I am having trouble with the login service and carrying the cookie into my report service call. I am using HttpWebRequest/Response objects. I can successfully (I think) call the login service (it returns statusCode=OK), along with a JSESSION in the Header Set-Cookie key. I set this into the new request to the report service, but I keep getting a 401. Any thoughts (or examples) of how to do this? I have also tried j_spring_security_check with the same results.
