Hi , Thank you for the reply. I tried this as well, But the problem is when i open the excel sheet it displays the data in it. My requirement is that, the user should not be able to view the data when he opens the excel. As soon as it is opened, it should prompt for a password and only on entering the password, the user should be able to view the contents in it. Thanks and Best Regards, Megha
