  1. Hi Community, I am new to Jasper reports, so if queistion is stupid, pardon me. When I make a field's font as SanSerif and render it in windows and linux I get different output, windows looks fine, whereas linux doesn't fill text field with text ------------Example static text------------This is in ireport, and windowsthis is how generated text looks like in Linux ------------Example staticfont is SanSerif default font without and declaration. if I enable suffix as ... then I get following: ------------Example static...The abvious question is why text is getting cut when there is enough space to fit. I suspect this is font issue. I am not using any special font and I think(could be wrong) SanSerif is portable. When it is SanSerif what exact font is used? I believe SanSerif is font family, not a font. pdf file(that is generated on linux machine) property says actual font:arial. even if I do not define any specific font while default is SanSerif, should I create font extension jar for SanSerif font? I do not have .ttf file for SanSerif. FAQ says when I use system specific font I should create font extension jar which I am not using system specific font. Or Default SanSerif font is system dependent? Env is 21 fedora and jdk-7u76-linux-x64 java. Thanks in advance.
