I am looking for a solution too. But there are two ways you can try doing this, if you want to customize the parameters in the embedded report then you need to use visualize and call the input controls. Look for Creating input control widget in this page http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-visualizejs-guide/v60/api-reference-inputcontrols Or else you can just embed dashboards directly.

In v6.1, you cannot but it was supported in previous versions. I would like to know if there is some kind of workaround too.

I was able to give hyperlink to external website for columns inreports by editing the jrxml file. But can I acheieve the same thing in ad hoc views or reports created from ad hoc views without updating jrxml file. Is it possible to add a template while creating the report from the ad hoc view. Is it possible to format the data in such a way this is possible. Thank you very much.

I did try and run the reports as dashboards, the parameters are still not showing up using Visualize JS.

For Error Logging, login as superuser and go to server settings-->Log settings. You can change the logging to Debug for various things here. Change this to <constructor-arg index="0"><value>dc=my,dc=cha,dc=jm</value></constructor-arg> The syntax you have seems correct, directly query your active directory using ADexplorer or something, see if your configuration values are correct. If that doesnt work, let me know, I will compare my config.

After embedding the Jasper reports using Visualize JS, is it possible to toggle the input controls and export options on. Yes I know I can pass parameters directly,but I need the users to apply their own input controls and export options. I guess the work around exists for me to setup my own controls and passing as parameters and also setting up web services for export options. But is it possible directly from Visualize without going through all this. If this feature is going to come in the future versions, can I please get a tentative date.

You can use row level security to achieve the thing you are trying to do. I have an ad hoc view which has two columns one with the title and second one with URL which links to an external data. How do I make the title as clickable hyperlink with the URL in the second column. I am getting the data from a domain. I was able to edit the jrxml file for the report and update it suitably but how do I achive the same in an ad hoc view.

Yeah I saw that, I tried doing that, few of the filters work fine without any issue. But I am trying to put extra input controls like radio buttons and checkbox and things like that. No matter what parameter name I give the input controls doesnt work.
