Export to XLS is blank always even for simple report

Updating to poi-3.10.1.jar solved my issue.. -
I'm unable to export my jasper report in Excel format but the same works fine for pdf. Below is my code snippet.. Hi.. I would like to know which version of Jasper reports server is compatible with IE6. I've checked the platform support datasheet from 3.7.1 to 6.0, the IE version mentioned is 7 and above. Also what would be the changes I need to do to make it compatible with IE6. Currently I'm using Jaspersoft report server 5.1 on Windows 2003 32 bit. Pls do help it's bit urgent.. Thanks in advance.
