Hello, I've installed JasperIO for Windows on my computer, it can be started and is working. Also I installed Studio 7.2 Professional and created an Project "JasperIO" which has Repository Type JasperReportsIO. I added a folder "Repository". I also set the path in Properties as "C:JaspersoftWorkspaceJasperIORepository". Now I created a simple report as shown in your video tutorials. I did this first without a datasource, and didn't forget to set "When No Data Type" to "All Sections No Detail". When I want to look at it in "Preview" it just keeps gray. There is no error message. I also tried a report with data source, with equal result. What could be the problem? Thanks and regards, André

That's a remaining problem that happens every time, on all our computers, with older installations and brand new ones as well.

Hi, we work with Jasper Studio 6.51 and 6.6 on Windows 7. When we access a static text field in the design panel and change its text, then click on another static text field, the text of the first text field is completely deleted. Access via outline works fine. Does anyone know this behaviour, too? What could be the cause? Thanks a lot, André

Thanks, you're wright. I thougt I had already changed Studio to 1.7, but I forgot to recompile one class. Now it works fine.

Hello, I'm a complete newbie not to Jasper Reports but to Java. I made a report with a scriptlet that works in studio. How do I get it to work on the server? I put scriptlet and class in a jar that I deployed in report ressources. When I start the report I get the following error: HTML response error code: 500, error Ein interner Serverfehler ist aufgetreten. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Systemadministrator. Details: Handler processing failed; nested exception is java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: scriptlet/MainReportScriptlet : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0 What could be wrong? Hello, I have a PLSQL-Routine that launches an asynchronous Reportrequest against Jasper Server and returns the handles. It works fine. But: If I start this same routine out of APEX (Button) it seems to work fine, but the handles it returns (which look like genuine Jasper Server Report Handles) are not valid. The Server doesn't find them. Has anybody any idea? Thanks, André

Hello, I have deployed a report ("Mainreport") with subreports on Jasper Server 6. It works. Now I have another report ("SecondReport") which has Mainreport as subreport. I don't want to deploy Mainreport a second time with SecondReport. Instead I want SecondReport to find Mainreport at its original location. I tried several variants of repo:pathtoreportMainreport.jrxml and repo:pattoreportMainreport_filesMainreport.jrxml. It doesn't work, I always get "Repository file resource ... could not be loaded". Who can help?

Ok, I found it out myself. In the report, set "Is for prompting" - checkbox ON. On the server, go to the report, click right mouse button - edit, go to "controls and ressources" (second on the right, might named differently, I have German version), uncheck checkbox "ask always". Now, Input Control won't show, but you can pass Parameters via url.

Hello, I have an report with parameters which are neccessary. When I request the report via url I transfer these parameters via the URL, but still input control pops up, filled with the values I send in the url. I don't want this to happen, the report should open directly. When I set "Is for Prompting" - checkbox to FALSE, input control doesn't pop up. But any parameters I transfer via url are ignored, so that doesn't help me either. How can I sent parameters via url without seeing the input control box?
