Dashes not printing on PDF after exporting the jasper report.

in my application i have created a jasper report and then exporting it to pdf, i can't see the dashes after printing. Please help me, how can i solve this issue. Thanks -
we have requirement to show the employees W2 form and can print the form through a java web application. Is this possible?, please give some ideas to achieve this and if anyone of you have a w2 template could you please share with me.. Thanks
