Testing the new feature that allows you to schedule a dashboard. Had some issues getting the phantomjs working correctly but I've gotten past that and have sucessfully been able to schedule a dashboard to email me the output in PDF format. Problem is the same schedule will periodically throw an error when it's run. (see below). To test this I have the schedule running every 15 minutes ans it's like every other run throws the error......the rest run without issues. Since nothing is changing from run to run have no idea what could be causing this. I hadn't read that particular post from StackOverflow. Just wondering which user needs the write permissions? Jasper was installed and runs as user Tomcat whereas we installed the PhantomJS as root. Since Jasper is calling the PhantomJS would it be the tomcat user that needs wtire permissions and to the directory where the logs is getting written to?

Have installed JRS 6.2.1 to start planning for upgrade. One new feature is the ability to export dashboards to an output file....but requires installing the phantom JS libraries. I have installed these on the linux server and updated the js.config.properties file for JRS. I can see the phantomjs libraries getting called in the logs when I attempt to export but then it throws an error about being unable to open the phantomjsdriver.log. Has anyone else encountered this issue and know how to get around the error? How much memory have you allocated to Studio? The default settings in Jaspersoft Studio Professional.ini tend to be rather low. I am using the below settings which improved things for me: -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=128M -XX:MaxPermSize=256M -XX:+CMSClassUnloadingEnabled -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a report over the jasperserver database that will inspect the schedules for a particulat report and list out thesaved parameter values? I know that there is that JIReportJobParameter table that stores these values but the column that contains the values is a LONGBLOB which when you try to convert to string contains a ton of gibberish. Just tryign to find a way to get at these values. We basically have a handful of reports that have specific values saved for each schedule and we need to monitor these to ensure nobody modifies those parameters. This is a security requirement for these particular reports. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We are currently running version 5.5 and just started more heavily leveraging ad-hoc views over domains. I am seeing a good deal of nullPointers in the catalina.out file. We have a multi-tenent setup in Jasperserver. I want to create a ROLE that will allow team members to access the MANAGE ==> ORGANIZATIONS, USERS so that they can login as some of our clients to troubleshoot issues. I would prefer to create a new ROLE for this as opposed to giving them all ROLE_ADMINISTRATOR. I created a new ROLE called ROLE_ASUSER and was able to condition the MAIN MENU to allow a user with this ROLE to see the MANAGE option from the screen. When the user selects USER or ORGANIZATION from the dropdown they get an Access Denied message. I have been running this through debug but having trouble finding exactly where this permission is set. Wondering if anyone may be able to point me in the right direction.
