We have a professional jasper server edition. And we want to explore how domains are created and used for generating report. Now we are not able to understand how jasper server got so many available objects like region2 , region3 , region4 etc without sql queries in the given supermart domain example ? If anybody has already explored this pls help us in understanding this better. Thank you in advance.

Hi, We are able to drill down from report1 to report2 with visualize.js. But now the problem is if we have a parameter for report1, How can we pass this parameter also along with the drill down field to the second report (report2) ? Hope makes sense. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I am using jasper reports server 5.5 community edition. Suppose my report has some resources like subreports , resource bundles etc , where exactly these resources are stored in jasperserver application folder ? I am running sample report using json data source report , which i have downloaded from the net, for reference the same zip file has been attached with this post. Now in that report resource sections we can see a resource named northwind , from which the data is being fetched with json as query language in the report. Could anybody please help me in finding out where exactly the file northwind exists in the jasper server ? Thanks in advance for ur help.

Hi, I have a table which contain one column as json object of data type BLOB. Now how can i display this jsonobject ( field's) data in ireport ? If i display the jsonobject as it is coming from table then it is showing something like [123,34,101,109, . I am not able to understand what it is trying to display. For example the json used in the testing is {"employees":[ {"firstName":"John", "lastName":"Doe"}, {"firstName":"Anna", "lastName":"Smith"}, {"firstName":"Peter", "lastName":"Jones"}]}. Could anybody help me in finding how to resolve this ?

Hi, I have a dashboard with two reports let's say R1 and R2. R1 with two inputs say input1 , input2 and R2 with just input1 as parameter. Now If i change input2 value then R1 and R2 both are executing in the dashboard. But is it possible to execute only R1 when I change input2 ?? Could any one please guide. Thanks.

Hi, We are using jasper reports server 5.5 professional edition. We don't want to use flash player to render pro charts in web browser. So according to the jasper server admin guide document ( 7.13.6 section) , we updated com.jaspersoft.jasperreports. fusion.charts.render.type to html5 in the jasperreports.properties file to render pro charts by html5. But when we create a dashboard with these (pro chart ) reports , it is getting distorted that is not loading properly but individual reports are loading properly. We are not able to figure out the issue. Could any one suggest instructions to configure pro charts to render using html5 at server level and report level. Please note when we design dashboard with html5 chart reports , it is loading/rendering properly , so we are sure that our browser supports html5 and when we instal flash player the dashboard is loading propely. Ur help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Hi, The dashboars in Jasper are formed by iframes in the dashboard panel. So if you want to target a specific dashboard in that panel from a report execution hyperlink you can do that changing the Target in the hyperlink of the first report to match the dahboard iframe that you need to change. And also pass to the second report a parameter called viewAsDashboardFrame with a value of "true" so the Jasper UI is not rendered inside the dashlet. Now my problem is if I use Charts - pro elements then the drill down report are opening as targetted by hyperlinkTarget , where as in HTML5 charts elements hyperlinkTarget is only working fine for pre defined values like Self , Blank , Parent and Top not for what we target like iframe sections as we did in Charts - Pro . http://community.jaspersoft.com/questions/817790/dashboard-hyperlinking-detailed-reports-same-dashboard Thank you for any help.

Finally resolved this issue with the help of jasper soft support team. The issue here is with the iFrame tag and the same can be concluded from the following link. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7083325/firefox-form-targetting-an-iframe-is-opening-new-tab Then adding name attribute to the iframe will reolve the issue , and this can customized by updating the file located at apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver-pro/WEB-INF/jsp/modules/dashboard/dashboardViewer.jsp. Hi, We are using jasper soft professional BI product ( Jasper Reports Server version 5.5 ). How shold I create different organizations when manage->organizations is missing from main menu bar. In adminstrator user guide it says you will find manage->organization but I can not find thei in our server even when I logged in as system admin (superuser). Could anyone one please help me how to achieve this . Thanks.

Yes , thank you for your response , but that is one way of doing it . But can we give a data source connection ( expression ) instead of clubbing all the data into one table , which may have time efficiency issue.
