For JASPER report server backup we exported backup to a zip file. Please advise how can we verify the backup. I do not want to replace my existing environment. Can we replace it on the same server but under different tree structure?

Hi Guys, We know that we can save jrprint format of reports from jasper server deployed reports through the rest_v2 api..But in our project we have to write a java program to save jrprint format in particular location of hard disk, Instead of hitting the below url for each and every report and download that.So my question is how to save a report in jrprint format in a particular location (we will mention the path in java program) through java program. .We are able to only read the jrprint but not able to save that in any location in disk.Please help me regarding this.Its very urgent.Please help. http://10.218.12.204:8080/jasperserver/rest_v2/reports/Slovakia_Report/Other_Reports/Commission_Audit_Report.jrprint

Hi All, We have one requirement in our project to save jasper report with data(including report design) in ireport or jasper studio.In crystal report ,I know it is possible to save report template with data so that one user can open the report later and see the data without database connection.Please let me is this feature availabe in jasper report.There is one format .jrprint in ireport but that only save the data without design.It will not suffice our requirement as I want to save report template also. If we can save .jrprint report with the implemented bookmark that will also work.But as I know this feature is also not available in jasper.In jasper we can only implement bookmark in pdf.Please help.

Hi All, In our project we deployed our jasper reports in Jasper server.To generate all the jasper reports at a time we have written a java program where we pass the report path and export all the reports in pdf,excel and csv fomat in a predefined path.Now there is a requirement to generate all the reports in .jrprint also.Please let us know if it is possible to export jasper server deployed reports in .jrprint format.We are not able to export the reports in jrprint format. Hi All, We have one new requirement in our project for which I am struggling for many days but not able to give a solution.In jasper report we need bookmark in the jrprint file of the report.As far as I know,it's only possible to save one report with data(so that one user can open the report with data without database connection) if the report is saved in .jrprint format.We have implemented bookmark in report so while exporting the .jrprint reports to pdf we are able to get the bookmark.But the client are asking to see bookmark in .jrpint file itself so that they can extract only required pages to pdf from that jrpint.So can you please tell me whether there are any chance to implement bookmark in jrprint.In Jasper Studio 6.1 there is some bookmark while previewing the report but while exporting to jrpint bookmark is not coming.Please help regarding this.Thanks in adavance.

Hi Jaspers Gurus , We have a requirement in our project to export jasper reports(.jrxml) to .jrprint fomat so that we can send the .jrprint files to client.Can you please help me by providing the java code through which we can take a jrxml or jasper as input parameter and export it to .jrprint format. Hi Gurus, I have a report which should give around 18000 pages after exporting as the query returns 6 lakh rows of record. It is giving me “Java heap space:out of memory” error after running. I have applied Virualization but it's also not working after trying different combination of max and min memory. I also tried with increasing the heap memory size in tomcat server but after increasing the size the server is not starting. It's giving saying “JasperserverTomacat cannot start”. Again we have a very complex design which includes 130 around variables ,so it is very diffult to handle it from database query side.Please suggest some solution so that we can run such large volume report in ireport designer/jasper server. Please advice.

Hi Jasper Gurus, In jasper server 5.2,we have created a folder(suppose FOLDER 1) and deployed few reports in that folder with datasource(suppose DATASOURCE 1) for each reports. Now we copied all the reports and pasted it in a different folder(suppose FOLDER 2).All the reports of FOLDER 2 are attached with same datasource(DATASOURCE 1) which the reports of FOLDER 1 are using.Now if we create another datasource(suppose DATASOURCE 2) and want to attach each reports of FOLDER 2 to connect DATASOURCE 2 instead of DTASOURCE 1 ,we have to manually edit each reports of FOLDER 2 and attach the new datsource i.e DATASOURCE 2.This whole process is very hectic and time consuming too. Is there any simple way so that we can change the datasource easily without editing each reports of FOLDER 2 individually.Please suggest.We need the solution urgently.

Hi Jasper Gurus, We have one Crystal to Japsper migration project in our account.In crystal report there is one feature which is not there in Jasper Report. In crystal report if you use GROUP for any column then the GROUPING VALUES are displayel in left panel of the report during report preview.Just like below. In jasper Report we have to do same kind of Tree level Grouping hierarchy so that user may traverse from one group to another group easily by clicking those group values from the let panel. We generally deploy the Jasper reports to Jasper Server after designing is completed.As far as I know iReport designer dont have this feature.So if anyone of you can tell me how I can create such type of grouping hirerarchy in Jasper Server Report output ,I will be grateful to you.Please help Gurus.I am in a big trouble.Please let me know if I you find any difficulty to understand me requirement.
