Jaspersoft Studio doesn't have Charts Pro, Widgets Pro, Maps Pro or HTML5 Charts though. Once they get set up I might be able to use it!

Really, still not possible? It's 2013 isn't it? They've gone an created a whole new charting library for "HTML5" charts, which is largely unnecessary as the Fusion Charts library alreayd supports all the functionality of HighCharts, just so long as they actually impliment it. Even then they've missed a while heap of functionlity for HighCharts. It's like they've done the minimum needed to put on a brouchure "We have HTML5 Charts".

Hello, So it is becoming pretty clear to me that Jaspersoft has no intention of improving their charting libraries, even though we pay ~$30k a year for the privelage of using the "Professional" components (Fusion Charts and HighCharts). What options are there out there for 3rd party charting libraries? Funsion Charts actually does pretty much all you could ever want from a charting library, but for some reaon Jaspersoft haven't implimented any of the basic funcitonality (eg, combination cahrts, multi-axis, export to SVG or even Image when exporting PDFs, multiple data set support). Is there any company out there that has created a library to use these components properly? Even HighCharts does pretty much all you'd want, but again, Jaspersoft appear to have done the bare minimum needed to add the component into the palette, and left out all the functionality provided by pretty much every other reporting suite for the last 10 years... Have I made a mistake going with Jaspersoft? Surely there is hope?

Ok, I found the solution. You need to enable the option 'Prevent "chunked" requests'. For some reason.... Not sure why that wouldn't be enabled by default if it's needed. Or why it isn't documented anywhere.

Hello, When trying to connect to Jasperserver Professional 5.2 Respoitory from iReport Professional 5.2, I get back an error message (400) Bad Request. I get no further messages or logged events. When connecting to the same server in iReport 5.1 Professional it connects fine and I am able to browse the repository. How do I go about troubleshooting this issue? I've done some wireshark captures, and it certainly looks like 5.2 is not sending an appropiate SAOP document, especially compared to 5.1. Thanks, Cameron

Hello, I was wondering how we go about adding a second dataset into the Charts Pro component? For example, when adding the component it staes taht it supports multiple datasets - However in the component itself there's no obvious way to add in secondary data sets. As a follow on question to that, the answer may become obvious once I understand how to do this, how do you change the plot type of the additional datasets? I need a second dataset to be plotted as a line, over the top of a column. Pretty basic stuff, but the method seems to be escaping me right now! Thanks - Cameron PS, Does anyone know how to get the legend to sit on the left hand side????

Yeah, same thing here. Just started using Jaspersoft Studio 5.2.0 on my desktop with 16GB RAM, i7-3770 CPU, SSD, and it performs signifigantly worse than a 4 year old Lenovo Ideapad with 1GB of RAM running iReport 5.2. I was told that this was the software to use, as Jaspersoft would be developing all new features in this, but not in iReport. Is that still the case? It seems like this software really isn't a suitable replacement for iReport at all.

Changed Assigned User from @User_306070 to @anonymous Were you able to get around it by using a different Java version?I've tried with JDK 1.6.0_43 and get the same issue.

Hello, When I create a new XMLA connection in iReport 5.1.0, it won't let me change the catalogue after retreiving the metadata. When I click the drop down it shows all the available catalogues, however selecting one does not change the catalogue in use (or the diaplayed selected catalgoue). How can I chagne the catalogue in these connections? Thanks, Cameron
