Nope sorry. Seems like it isn't really suitable for variable size content. Which is a shame. It would be extremely powerful to be able to insert a block of any HTML into a report.

Hi. I've been trying the HTML Component in the latest Jaspersoft Studio. When I set it to Scale Type: Real Size or Scale Type: Real Height, it doesn't seem to work correctly. I assume that is meant to make the size of the component to fit the html it is enclosing? What seems to be happening is that the band the component is in scales to fit the html, and any floating elements move accordingly. But the size of the html component itself does not change. It stays the same as if using Scale Type: Retain Shape

You can also grab the jar from the Jaspersoft Studio download. Just search for the htmlcomponent.jar once you've downloaded it.
