Hi, I just downloaded the professional version of iReport and did not see any difference. I still have to have pre-define query in order to create report. And then, iReport is trying to execute the query prior to creating a report. That defits the porpose of ad-hoc reporting. Where and in what product can I have drag-and-drop ability and ad-hoc reports? thanks c-george

Hi, I need to produce a report and/or dashboard where user can drag and drop columns and metrics. I need to have full list of columns from the tables, Once a user drag and drop columns and metrics on the report area, he or she would apply filters. Since I'm quite new to Jaspesoft, I have realy dificult time to figure it out. It seems that any report needs a pre-define query and there is no much room for a dynamic ad-hoc queries. Am I right? Can anybody help me?

Does this mean that IReport is importing all data from the query? If so, that would defit the purpose of having database?! C_G

Can anybody help me with this. I can see db/tables in Services window but can't find the way to "drag and drop" them to the report space. I need helpd urgently or the managements will pull the Jaspersoft from the shortlist of products considered for production. ANYBODY?

I took a look at the link but the problem is that I don't have "Data" option in my menu: Any sugestions?

Hi, I posted my question today but I can't find it anymore. I'm new to Jaspersoft, so please excuse me if the question is too simple. I have connected to Infobright and selected a simple report template. In step 2 I'm trying to use my tables/fields but I can't see any tables/fields. AmI doing something wrong? (please see the printscreen below)

Hi, I'm new to the jasper products so please excuse the basic level of my question. I have connected to Infobright database and press "Test" button to make sure i have the connection. The test was succesfull, so I procceed to the next step selecting the samplest reporty template. I was expecting to be able to see some tables and/or fields on the left panel under "Fields", but its empty. Am I missing anyting? C_George Post Edited by c-george at 06/12/2012 16:13
