i've currently been instructed by my manager to explore on ETL, and i'm new to all this. i know this might be a very 'noob' question for you guys, but i've been searching for hours now and i couldn't really find anything. for exploration purposes i've made a OLTP db for POS transactions, and i've also made an OLAP db (in star schema) to transfer the data from the OLTP. do you guys know of any resources that can teach me how transfer data from my OLTP db to OLAP db? i realize that the format will have to be changed. any help is much appreciated. thanks!
